A day in the life... or Oh my aching...

It's been such a crazy week here. Dentist appointments for both hubby and I (did I tell you, I dislike dentists, a lot?). One of my teeth abscessed because of an old filling and it went downhill from there. I went on antibiotics to get rid of the infection, then had to have a root canal. OMG! I've had one of those before, years ago. I remembered some of the procedure, but not all, and of course things change. Anyhoo, when it was done, he says innocently, 'You'll need to make appointments to have a crown done."

CROWN, what crown?

"Oh, and by the way, don't bite down on this tooth or it's very likely to break."

I came home more upset than I've been in a while. But, after some talking and frustration, decided I didn't have a lot of choice. And, my mouth was killing me. I phoned two days later because it was still really hurting. I got more antibiotics because they assumed the infection had come back.

Sigh!

So, I went back and low and behold, the freakin took had broken. I think it must have broken the day the root canal was done. The only thing to do then is, pull the tooth.

I'm now going to have not one crown, but a triple crown. No, I'm not going to the horse races. Get your minds back on topic here. Sheesh!

I'm feeling a lot better, but the cost is going to be horrendous. I thought about just not getting anything done. I mean, it's not the worst thing in the world to have a tooth pulled. When I was a kid, I had four pulled. One from each side at the back. I managed to eat well enough all my life and no one complained. But, this latest extraction is noticeable. When I smile you can see where the tooth should be. I'm feeling very self-conscious. Grrrr! Still grumbling, but I'll get over it.

So, the dentist taken care off, for now, hubby also had an appointment with an eye specialist on Friday to check things out. He's good. Well, I already knew that, but now you do too... LOL! His eyes are aging, what a shocker. He needs to wear glasses for close up work, but not for distance. Annoying as all get out, but I'm sure he'll sort something out.

AND, the most important stuff. I have two new book acceptances. Yay! One, Daybreak 2525: Doc, is the first in the series. I'm thrilled about that one being accepted. The contract is signed and in my grubby little hands now. The other, a shorter book is called Jett's Gift. I wasn't sure TEB would want this one. It's a little edgy in a different way, but I'm not telling you more cause you're gonna have to wait. Patience is a good thing.

So, life hasn't been dull, for sure. I'm off to get some work done on Jenna Byrnes and my latest Dylan's Dilemma. Have an awesome weekend and I'll try to get back here soon to tell you some more.
